Your First Session
Your first session is designed to help you feel as comfortable and supported as possible. I will begin by introducing myself and reviewing important information such as confidentiality, office policies, and what you can expect from the therapeutic process. We will then spend time talking through what brought you to therapy, along with relevant background information such as your personal, family, and medical history, at a pace that feels manageable for you. This initial session is also a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, collaborative relationship. Together, we will discuss your goals for therapy and determine a schedule that best fits your needs and supports your care.
Why I Became a Therapist
I chose to become a therapist because I have always been drawn to helping people feel seen, heard, and supported through some of the most difficult moments in their lives. My own life experiences and challenges have also shaped a deep sense of empathy and strengthened my desire to support others as they navigate their own healing journeys. I am passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop insight, and feel empowered to make meaningful changes. Being able to walk alongside individuals as they heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves is both an honor and a deeply fulfilling part of my work.
Deep Dive: My Specialties
I use an eclectic, person-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each client while providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space as the foundation of our work. I integrate evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and build effective coping skills. I also incorporate a holistic mind-body perspective, recognizing the connection between emotional well-being, stress, and overall health.
When I'm Not in the Office
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling with family, exploring new cultures, and spending meaningful time with loved ones. She also finds joy in quiet moments outdoors, reading, and caring for her dogs.
